Since we are lucky enough to have a terrific internet connection, this post is heavy on the photos and lighter on the copy.

Paul picking up ice in Nassau to top off our cooler

Clear, glassy seas
We were so very fortunate to have continued, calm weather for the final leg of our crossing which brought us to Highborn Cay to meet up with our friends.

How the very rich play
No, the inflatable-slide people are not the friends we were meeting, but they sure recognized a great spot to anchor, just as we did.

A beach day-- Debi with Paul
Our friends not only play, but they are also the crew that make all the play possible. I need to remember to capture some photos of a DIY project, where the interior of Independence is torn apart to access parts and tools, and some mechanical part of something is taken apart in a greasy mess for repairs. (The not so fun part of pleasure cruising )

Still enjoying the calm

Oh, so many sunsets
As I type this, the predicted stretch of strong winds and squalls has arrived, and Independence and Different Drummer are double-anchored in a protected little section of Pipe's Creek. Bordered on one side by Rat Cay and on the other by a collection of rock/islands called The Mice. We are safely nestled in, and will now tackle projects, cleaning, organizing and all those inside activities to keep us busy for the next 4-5 days.
